Good effort by Noddy on Saturday night at the Road Club social. A great night was had by all and the Posse look forward to 2010 already.

Great result for both Posse members Shirley Gage & Dave Taylor, in Sunday’s 40mile End to End walk.

Both walkers confident on the back of a fast times in June’s Parish Walk, kept this seasons good form throughout another local endurance event.

A fast start put them well up in the top 15 with an average speed of over 5.4mph.

Whilst allot of the front runners called it a day at the midway point at Peel, Both of the Posse members kept their heads down and battled up the climb to the Round Table knowing that a fast  descent down the Sloc  would guarantee them of a top position. The great weather played a big part on the day as it drew the crowds out to watch the final climb past Cregneash and fast finish down the Sound. Shirley & Dave finished Joint 12th out of 331 starters 7hrs 53min, Dave won his age class as did Shirley, however Shirley was only beaten by the Janice Quirk, Parish Walk record holder to take a very well deserved 2nd Lady. Well done to both of them.

Start line of the recent (under 15kg)  BMX Final Ramsey recently, the Posse even managed to take the win in that as well. Nice 1 Shirley

Here's the Posse in the multi million pound team van, just talking tatics before the Bikestyle recently. Somebody mentioned that Doyler was going to attack!!

A few photo's of Sunday's road race won by the Robot (Mr Roche) Turned out to be quite a political race in the end, further details were posted on the notice board at the Queens Hotel on Sunday afternoon.

Posse Parking

Fantastic bit of bike handling shown here by the Posse wives, they have been taught well over the years!

Congratulations to Trev on a fine win in his cat and second overall in the TLI championships held on Sunday. I'm told he had at least 3 cans of his special beans to power away from the rest of the Posse! Nice 1

There is a new helmet on the market, very light and has those little extra accessories that you always need in a road race.

We always wondered how Andy managed to do those super fast Time Trial times!

If your struggling with your '10' time or just want that little bit extra kick in a road race, next time you’re at Tesco try some of Trev's Biker Beans! Guaranteed to give you that extra boost but be careful you don't follow through or you'll be definitely out the back

The Posse have heard a whisper that Neil has been back the weights again, we weren’t to sure but a picture has been sent in which has made us think twice

The Posse have just found out what Doyler's new TT bike looks like, Very Fast!

Nice work by the Two-up Posse walking team in the Parish, 18hrs 21min to finish.  Both are just starting to get back to training and have both been sighted out on the bikes. Dave's '10' times are well down on last year but seems to be getting the legs back to full speed slowly.

A BIG THANK YOU to all their sponsors for the event and are pleased to say they raised nearly £1,500 which is to be presented to the IOM Special Olympics, National Autistic Society IOM Branch and the Robert Owen House.

Few snaps of Sunday's Road Race

The most aggressive rider award goes to Rob Dooley, he tried 31 times to get away but was continuously chased down by his wheeler team mates they were a close second in the competition

Great attack by Trev, apparently he was in a rush to get finished as he'd left the bottle warmer on! Cookie came along for the ride but stopped for a brew at the tea rooms later in the race

The Posse climbers struggled to keep up with Contador on the steep bit, but remember it's a completely different climb on the big ring

Fantastic ride by Mary, she lead the B group out for 3 laps and managed to finish 3 minutes ahead of her event driver and mechanic Floyd

Here's the boy's at the back of the bunch not looking forward to the climb

Here's Doyler just before his attack!

A nice fast start to Thursdays Bikestyle! We understand it was a really difficult course to remember as some of the competitors were getting lost on the first lap!

Team Manx Telecom Duo Ready for Parishes

Team Manx Telecom cyclists, Shirley Gage and Dave Taylor have finished their preparations and training for this year’s Clerical & Medical Parish walk. They have walked nearly 800 miles around the Islands roads since February this year and are looking forward to competing on behalf of the Team Manx Telecom the new sponsors of their cycling team, the Manx Road Club where they and will be testing their new team kit for the 85 mile trek in 10 days time. photo Tim Moolman

Both Shirley and Dave have had previous finishes but feel they can improve their times this time round, they aim to finish the Parishes in around 18 hours.

Big Dave hasn't used the bike much this season, he decided to leave it down the park for the kids to play on, rest assured it will be out again soon probably with a new set of tyres on as well

This chap has got a nerve! poor lad riding on the front, working like mad and he's just sitting on enjoying the ride.  Thankfully that sort of thing doesn't happen over here on the IOM.

O, by the way the '10' Series starts again next Wed night, hope you haven't lost much weight on the turbo over the last couple of weeks, unlike our friend here.
